Our team completed this boundary fencing and retaining wall project on a cleared residential block in Geebung. With the site being prepared for future development, the installation needed to accommodate changes in ground level while establishing a secure, clearly defined boundary.
We installed white Colorbond fencing above a timber-look concrete sleeper retaining wall, creating a neat finish around the perimeter of the property.
Preparing the Block with Fencing and Retaining Walls
One of the main considerations was the variation in ground height across the block. Rather than using a retaining wall of uniform height, we adjusted the number of concrete sleepers to suit the changing levels along the boundary.
Some sections required only a low retaining wall, while others needed several sleepers to retain the higher ground. We paid particular attention to aligning the fence posts and panels, keeping the upper fence line consistent while stepping the retaining wall beneath it.
Completing this work on a cleared block also provided an opportunity to establish the boundary before future building and landscaping work.
A Clean Finish Ready for the Next Stage
We’re pleased with how this installation turned out. The white Colorbond panels contrast nicely with the warm timber-look sleepers, while the stepped retaining wall accommodates the different ground levels without interrupting the overall appearance of the fence.
The finished installation provides privacy, soil retention and a clearly defined property boundary, ready for the next stage of development.
